The BTA would like to thank all of the candidates for their willingness to put themselves out there and serve and support the membership. Running for office requires a commitment of time and energy, and we appreciate everyone who participated in this year’s election.

The Election Committee has completed counting and certifying the ballots for the 2026 BTA Election. The certified results are as follows:

Grievance Chairperson

• Melissa Barreto – 87 votes
• Mike Piccolo – 62 votes
• Karen Canino – 62 votes

Recording Secretary

• Rebecca Phang – 87 votes
• Elizabeth Lopez – 70 votes
• Jane Shields – 55 votes

Teaching Assistant Representative

• Marianne Weston – 142 votes

Representative Assembly Delegates

• Rosalie Consani – 133 votes
• Karen Canino – 116 votes
• Julie Crosier – 116 votes
• Elizabeth Lopez – 83 votes
